Sunshine Coast Grammar Swimming Club Shines Bright at 2024 Swimming Australia Age Championships | Sunshine Coast Grammar Swim School

Sunshine Coast Grammar Swimming Club has once again made its mark on the national stage, delivering an outstanding performance at the prestigious 2024 Swimming Australia Age Championships held at the Gold Coast.

Competing against the best athletes in the country, the 36 athletes, including 20 Sunshine Coast Grammar School students, showcased its talent and determination, securing an impressive 22 medals and finishing in sixth place in the combined point score out of 239 scoring clubs across Australia. Their stellar performances saw them clinch a total of 7 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze medals across a variety of individual and relay races.

Leading the charge were the top athletes from the Club, including multi-class athlete Kael Thompson who secured 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. Several students from Sunshine Coast Grammar School also competed with incredible success, with stand-out performances from Daisy Quinn winning two Gold medals in the 16 Year 800m and 1500m Freestyle, and Georgia Edwards winning 1 Gold and 3 Silver medals.

This remarkable achievement is a true reflection of the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the Club and their commitment to fostering inclusivity and talent across their programs.
